The perception ability of robots is constantly improving

Machine vision has been widely used in industrial robots. According to Qian Hui, there are three types of industrial robot vision: two-dimensional vision, three-dimensional vision, and three-dimensional vision using wide area sensor technology. These technologies enable industrial robots to recognize the position, size, and color of objects, including the location stored in space, The robot obtains the ability to perceive the environment of turnover.

With 3D vision, the robot’s function is further extended. It can pick up the disorderly stacked workpieces, and no longer requires workers to arrange the workpieces on the assembly line. The robot with vision can quickly detect the existing workpieces, and then identify its position. In addition to vision, the robot also needs to sense the surrounding force, especially in the process of assembly and contact, to determine how much force is applied to the object, such a sensor is a necessary condition for intelligent robot.

Six dimensional force sensor is installed on the wrist of the robot, which can sense the relevant force of the robot movement process, and the robot can complete some more difficult work. 3D force sensor and six axis force sensor are very important sensor components for robots. At present, FANUC has developed a large number of different series of sensors, which can be configured in different scenes.

A large number of cooperative robots enter the production line

Cooperative robot has become an important direction of industrial robots. In the future manufacturing industry, robots will need to work with people to better complete some complex tasks. However, the requirement of cooperative robot is higher than that of traditional robot. According to Qian Hui, fanako’s cooperative robot has three major safety functions: the first is the touch stop function. When the robot contacts people or other external objects, it feels the touch force, and the robot can stop automatically. The second is the function of concession and avoidance, which is to make room for people and other equipment. The third is the touch back function. When the machine presses down, if it touches the hand, it can automatically back to ensure that the hand will not be crushed or hurt.

Nowadays, a large number of cooperative robots are coming into the production line to fight with workers and provide higher efficiency for the manufacturing industry. Compared with the work of three people or two people plus a robot in the past, now only one person plus a cooperative robot can meet the demand. The cooperative robot is responsible for picking up and placing heavy workpieces, while the human is responsible for handling complex or precise assembly work. After the workpiece is assembled, the cooperative robot helps to put the workpiece back on the shelf, so that the human can spare more time to do other work.

Cooperative robots make up for the shortcomings of traditional industrial robots, and are gradually introduced into the factory manufacturing environment.
